Bracelet Care Guide
Care for Your Collection
Thoughtful care begins with gentle handling. Follow these recommendations for storing, wearing, and maintaining your Be-You-tiful Creations bracelets. Materials and construction vary by design; consult the individual product description for details.
Storage
Store each bracelet separately in a soft pouch or lined jewelry box in a cool, dry place. Avoid direct sunlight, excessive heat, and pressure from other pieces. Lay stretch bracelets loosely rather than hanging them under tension.
Moisture and Cleaning
Remove bracelets before swimming, showering, washing dishes, or activities that expose them to moisture. If a piece becomes wet, gently blot it with a soft cloth and allow it to dry completely before storing. For routine care, wipe gently with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners, soaking, and chemical polishing treatments unless confirmed suitable for the specific materials.
Perfume and Personal Care Products
Apply perfume, lotion, sunscreen, and hair products before putting on your jewelry, allowing them to dry first. Keep bracelets away from household cleaning products and chlorine.
Handling Stretch Bracelets
For designs made with elastic cord, gently roll the bracelet over your hand instead of pulling it wide open. Avoid repeated stretching, tugging on individual beads, or snapping the cord. Remove bracelets before sleeping, exercise, and manual tasks. Choose a comfortable fit rather than forcing a bracelet over your hand.
Recognizing Signs of Wear
Inspect your bracelet regularly for fraying or exposed cord, a loose fit, gaps between beads, loose components, or chipped beads. Stop wearing a piece if its cord or components appear damaged. Do not pull the cord to test its strength. Elastic can change with use; care does not guarantee a particular lifespan or prevent breakage.
For questions about wear or restringing, email info@beyoutifulcreationsllc.com with your order details and a clear photograph. Repair or restringing availability must be confirmed for the individual piece.
Materials and Safe Handling
Natural stones may vary in color, size, shape, and surface characteristics. Handle beads and metal accents gently, and avoid dropping pieces onto hard surfaces. Keep loose beads and damaged components away from children and pets.
Our designs may include a variety of metals. Refer to the product description and our Metal Allergy & Material Disclaimer for material information. Pieces are not guaranteed to be hypoallergenic unless specifically stated. If irritation occurs, discontinue wear.
